Test your paddling ability in these informal but

very competitive canoe races.

THREE mile course on flat but moving water.

Start times handicapped from 1.30pm

according to ability and type of boat.

  Entry fees  £2.00 each paddler up to a maximum of £4.00 per boat.

    No charge for paddlers supporting participants with special needs.

     Trophies 3 trophies will be awarded for monthly competition:-

                                            a)  1st to finish

                                            b)  1st lady

                                            c)  1st paddler with disabilities

      VENUE: DURHAM ROWING CLUB, Green Lane, Durham City.

      COURSE:  ONE LAP course starting and finishing at the

      Rowing Club.

               Upstream to Shincliffe Bridge, touch and turn.

 Note: A tree has blown over and partly blocks the right hand    side of the river just before the bridge. Turn at the tree just  before the bridge, until further notice.

               Downstream to Baths Bridge, (turn at the landing stage

       which is marshalled).

               Upstream to the finish.
